Our Mission

is to serve the public interest by accomplishing ecosystem-based management, cumulative impact assessment, and biodiversity conservation at the landscape level. The programs and services we provide to accomplish this mission include:

project planning and implementation assistance,
research programs to support ecosystem and landscape-level solutions,
diversified and targeted training solutions, and
mapping and GIS.

Most land management agencies and organizations have recognized the need for using ecosystem-based approaches to help resolve resource management issues. Yet few organizations are in a position to concentrate their efforts on developing tools and methodologies that help apply these approaches in effective and efficient ways. EMRI believes there is a need for the focused efforts of an organization dedicated to developing practical application methodologies, addressing critical research questions, and effectively communicating results to both professional and non-professional audiences.
